Karly is an interdisciplinary visual artist based out of Portland, Oregon.
Her work is rooted in painting with sculptural qualities and utilizing recycled materials.
She is intrigued by exploring the breakdown of the symbology in repurposed materials and breathing new life into otherwise discarded or forgotten objects. Her work is typically an exploration of balancing intentionality within chaos.
She strives to evoke an overwhelming sensation with frenetic energy, but married with small pockets of comfortable moments and a celebration of this duality.
Karly received Bachelor's degrees in Art Practices and Creative Writing from Portland State University and has recently graduated from the Sister Space apprenticeship program in Portland, Oregon, that works to support female artists.
She has worked with Nike World Headquarters, and has recently exhibited work in South Korea, New York, California, Georgia and across Portland, Oregon.
